At The Cove we work with individuals
suffering from: Dyslexia,
Autism, Attention Deficit Disorder and other
Sensory Processing Disorders and
Auditory-related problems. We work with
Sound Therapy, Albert Tomatis Therapy and other
effective sensory
integrator Therapies.
We offer an individualized program is created for each client. Children with Sensory Processing Disorders misinterpret everyday sensory information, such as touch, sound, and movement. Depending on which type of SPD a child has, he/she may feel as if they are completely overwhelmed with information. Your child may seek out intense sensory experiences, or may have other symptoms. Sensory Processing can lead to behavioral problems, difficulties with coordination, and other issues. Effective treatment is available, but far too many children with SPD are misdiagnosed and not properly treated. Does your child have SPD? - View the checklists for signs and symptoms of Sensory Processing Disorder>> Identifying Auditory-related Problems Take a look at our Listening Checklist. |

Counseling & Life Coaching
Counseling and Life coaching differ in one major way. Counseling is based on Talk Therapy to work through past issues. Life coaching is focused on inding your purpose and happiness despite past issues. Coaching works best for already successful people who have resolved past issues and are ready to go to the next level in their career, life or with a project.. A coach is very action oriented and asks you WHAT you are willing to do, WHEN will you do it and HOW will you get it done. A coach will hold you accountable. And, while deep, empathetic listening are central to both, coaching and therapy are quite different.
